Graeme Lowdon and Pat Symonds set up a new company

One of the more fun things that have developed from writing this blog is my new found love of trawling through the Companies House website. For those unaware of the website, it is a registrar of companies and is an executive agency and trading fund for the British Government and it is a treasure trove of information if you are into that sort of thing.

So on our weekly scroll of new companies, one in particular really caught our eye. It’s name is Sports Advantage Network Limited and it has been set up by non other than former Manor Sporting Director Graeme Lowdon and former Manor employee Pat Symonds.

Lowdon previously held the position of Sporting Director in the team from 2010-2014 and was instrumental in keeping the team alive after they entered administration in 2014. Since leaving the team, he has gone to set up his own team in WEC. Lowdon had been previously been linked with a consortium trying to purchase the team back in December.

Symonds recently left his position as Williams technical director at the end of the season but worked for the team under its previous guise as Virgin Racing from 2011 to 2013, where he acted as a consultant for the team.

Now this may just very well be two old chums setting up a business to earn a few bob from the years of expertees’ gained in the motor sport industry. But it could also be an indicator as to who is involved in the potential last minute attempts to save the team.

One to keep your eye on.
